End of the line

Hi there. Even though I haven't touched this blog in quite a while, I feel like I need to say thank-you for the attention you've given to me and my work. I would also like to take this time to say please do not try to contact me through this blog as it is very unlikely that I will answer. If you are still interested in seeing what exactly it is I'm up to now a days, click HERE for the link to my current CyberARTS blog and HERE for the link to my new yearbook blog. Thank-you for your time and maybe see some of you soon.

This Digital Surrealism photograph is called “ Tallest Insanity”. It could be interpreted as a commentary of insanity or the range of emotions a person can feel at a time. What I did was I took a full body picture or myself and eight headshots of myself and uploaded on to the computer. Then I cut out my body and my heads out of the nine pictures that I took. All of the head shots had different emotions attached to them, one head was happy, one was sad etc. But two of the heads I actually altered was the evil head of me and the good head of me. The Evil head I changed the colour saturation of the picture to red, drew devil horns on my forehead then cut the head out of the picture all together. For good me, all I did was draw a yellow halo over my head. After all of that was done I used the smudge tool to make it look like all of the head were growing out of me. The background of the picture symbolized that everyone around the world is capable of feeling a whole range of emotion ranging from happy to angry.
I had 3 alternate versions of the same piece, each trying different ideas for an end result. On version(one I never used)was my head blend my head into a tree.Another version the heads growing out of me,that was probably one of my favorites. But ultimately as you can see I went with another alternate idea inspired by my teacher .My personal favorite was the devil head me because it stood out. With the other heads, I just repeated the same process over again. Filter, Extract. But with the devil head, I filter extracted it then I changed the colour balance to red then drew devil horns, done. It required me to do more than filter extract over again.
Personally I don’t think that the idea changed from when I last thought it up a few weeks ago. The overall vision of the finished product stayed true to the original to end. I’m particularly proud of how it turned out.

Impressionable Racism

The making of this PSA was grueling to say the least. There was one difficulty after another. We had some difficulties between the talent and the director. To make things worse everyone I my group was sick so even if it was for a day. I had to do a key point in the filming. Once we went over the initial due date. The it was on Rali and myself to complete the editing on our own time. There was also a point where we were missing footage(which we found (: ) Though it eventually got to the point where I was just sick of looking at it, here is our Racism PSA. I hope you enjoy it alot more than we did making it. ;p
